What’s one thing at some point or another that all social
networking sites have to worry about? Hackers, and if they aren't properly protected, it can very easily
destroy their credibility. So how should social networking sites go about
protecting themselves from these hackers? They’re very persistent and will
eventually find a way around most security measures put in place.
Twitter has
hopefully come up with a solution to this problem; hire hackers to find the
vulnerabilities before others trying to hurt the site do. They have recently
added hacker, Charlie Miller, to their security team. Miller is known for his
ability to hack into Apple products, so Twitter feels as though he’ll be a good person
to have on their side and a good asset to their security team. Hopefully
this is true because as twitter keeps on growing, more vulnerabilities are
likely to arise.
